    Sign up for free at worldcubeassociation.org; your WCA ID is assigned after your first competition.

  2. 2Register for a competition.

    Pick one from the calendar and register on the WCA site; pay the fee as the organizer describes.

  3. 3Competition day.

    Arrive early, bring your cube and skim the short rules in the guide.
