The separate notice for the newsletter is in section 6 below.

- Data: your image and, where applicable, your voice in photos and videos taken at the competition venue.
- Purpose: to document competitions and promote the community; to publish on our website, our social media accounts and our newsletter.

Visiting the site
- This site uses no cookies. Vercel Web Analytics, which we use for visit statistics, sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and does not identify you as a person; it only produces aggregate page view data (page address, referring site, country/city, browser and device type). See the Cookie Policy.
- Our hosting provider Vercel may keep short-lived technical logs of requests (including the IP address) for the security of the service and debugging. Legal basis: KVKK Art. 5/2-f.
3. To whom is your data transferred?
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES): delivery of contact and volunteer form messages to us by email, keeping the newsletter subscriber list and sending the newsletter. The data is processed in AWS's Northern Virginia (USA) data centre.
- Vercel Inc. (USA): hosting of the site and visit statistics.
- Google (Google Workspace): our email service; form messages and requests sent by email are stored in our mailboxes, in Google's data centres abroad, including the USA.
- Authorised public institutions: only when a legal obligation arises.
Because these providers are located abroad, your data is transferred abroad within the scope of KVKK Art. 9. The transfer relies on the safeguards in the providers' data processing agreements and is limited to the purposes above.
4. Collection method
Your personal data is collected electronically through the forms on this site, and at competitions by camera.
5. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)
By applying to the data controller you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed,
- request information if it has been processed,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose,
- know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom your data is transferred,
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
- request erasure or destruction of your data under the conditions of KVKK Art. 7,
- request that corrections, erasures and destructions are notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
- object to a result against you arising from the analysis of processed data exclusively by automated systems,
- claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing.
How to apply: by emailing ktemel@speedcubingturkiye.org. Your application is answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If you find the answer insufficient, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board.
6. Notice for the newsletter subscription
- Data: your email address; the newsletter language; the time the confirmation email was sent and the time the confirmation was given; the IP address from which the confirmation was given (as the double opt-in record).
- Purpose: to send new competition announcements and community news by email. It is used for no other purpose and shared with no one.
- Legal basis: your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1). You can use the site without giving consent.
- Double opt-in: the subscription does not start until you click the link in the email sent after signing up.
- Withdrawing consent: at any time via the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email or by writing to ktemel@speedcubingturkiye.org. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing up to that point.
- Transfer: the list is kept on Amazon SES (Northern Virginia, USA); emails are sent through Amazon SES.
- Retention: addresses not confirmed within 7 days are deleted. The subscription lasts until you unsubscribe; your address is then deleted from the list. Addresses that bounce or report a complaint are kept on Amazon SES's suppression list so that no further email is sent to them.
The checkbox on the newsletter form is your explicit consent statement; this section is the notice given separately from that consent (Communiqué Art. 5/f).
