Information about photos and videos taken at competitions

Photos and videos are taken at WCA competitions announced by Speedcubing Türkiye and staffed by its volunteers. By entering the venue you acknowledge this notice.
Who films? Community volunteers and the organisation team; occasionally invited media.
What for? To document the competition and promote the community. Images may be published on this website, on Speedcubing Türkiye social media accounts and in our email newsletter.
Who may appear? Competitors, spectators and staff. Solving stations, the podium ceremony and general venue shots may include anyone present.
If you do not want to be filmed: Tell the registration desk on the day; our photographers will be informed and will not film you. You may ask us to remove a published image at any time by writing to ktemel@speedcubingturkiye.org; we remove it within 30 days at the latest.
Competitors under 18: WCA regulations require parent/guardian consent for competitors under 18 to register; please share this notice with your parent or guardian before the competition. Parents: if you do not want images of your child published, tell the registration desk or email us. No reason is needed.
Filming yourself: Personal, non-commercial photos and video recordings are allowed. Do not use flash, stay at least 1.5 m away from solving stations and make sure the competitor cannot see your screen. Recording your own solves is subject to WCA regulations; ask your judge.
